Statement of Faith
The Bible
We believe in the inspiration of and the inspired preservation of the word of God. We believe that it was inspired of God the moment it was spoken and then the spoken word was written down by holy men of God (1 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16; Jeremiah 36:1-4) and that the God who inspired His word is more than powerful enough to keep His word (Psalms 12:6-7; Matthew 24:35). Furthermore, we believe that the King James Bible does not just contain the word of God, but is in fact the very words of God and His final authority in these last days.
The Trinity
We believe in the one true triune God consisting of three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
Hell
We believe in a literal burning hell, originally created for the devil and his angels. However, since the fall of man, hell has become man’s eternal place of torment as well. That is upon the rejection of Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour (Matthew 25:41; Luke 16:23-24; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 20:14-15).
Heaven
We believe that Heaven is a literal place located on the sides of the North. It is a pure and holy place that sin and death cannot enter. It is the dwelling place of God and His angels and every saved child of God, upon death, will be present with Him (Psalms 48:2; Psalms 5:4; Matthew 6:9; John 14:1-3; 2 Corinthians 5:8).
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith plus nothing. No persons works or righteousnesses can save them. Salvation comes by putting your full trust in the finished work of Christ. By the belief of one’s heart that God hath raised him from the dead salvation is obtained (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-13; Titus 3:5). Furthermore we believe that repentance toward God and faith toward out Lord Jesus Christ is essential to true salvation. We also believe God has given every man a free will and reject the heresy of Calvinism.
Eternal Security
We believe that God who is powerful enough to save to the utter most is also powerful enough to keep you, by his Holy Spirit. And that nothing(no sin) present or future can separate you from the love of God. Once you are truly saved, you are eternally saved(Ephesians 4:30, John 5:24, John 6:37-39, 1 Peter 1:5, 2 Corinthians 1:22, Romans 8:38-39).
Baptism
We believe that baptism is important for every believer and is an act of obedience to our Saviour. However, it is not a part of salvation. It is the outward showing to the church and the world that you are a new creature in Christ Jesus, and that the old man is dead. Biblical baptism is a commandment(Matthew 28:19-20), it is the answer of a good conscience toward God after salvation (1 Peter 3:21), and it is by total immersion in water(Acts 8:35-39).
The Church
We believe that the church consists of all saved believers in Christ and is not a local building or denomination. The church is an organism and not an organization. Sometimes the Bible speaks of the church and the Body of Christ as referring to the same thing, saved believers (Ephesians 1:19-23; 5:23-32; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Colossians 1:24) and other times it speaks of a local assembly of believers(1 Corinthians 1:2 and Galatians 1:2, 1 Thessalonians 1:1 and 2 Thessalonians 1:1). As born again believers we are looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our Saviour, Jesus Christ(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
Second Coming
We believe in the literal physical second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the main theme of the Bible: “A King and His Kingdom.” This is when the Lord will return from heaven to sit on His throne in Jerusalem and be the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Psalms 2:1-8; Zephaniah 3:8-20; Zechariah 14:16-21).
Rightly Dividing
We believe that right division of the Scriptures is essential to having sound biblical doctrine (II Timothy 2:15).
